Love, whose 'America's Sweetheart' album is reviewed right here, was meant to attend a drugs rehab' programme to avoid a jail sentence. Love's lawyer told the court that she could not be there on "security reasons".
Her appearance has been postponed to next Tuesday. If Love fails to attend on that date she will face arrest, and yesterday's no-show could well affect her chances of avoiding a custodial sentence altogether.
