This is what we've got happening in the nations capital, on top of our tours with Reuben, Kinesis and Miss Black America... and a soon to be announced tour with Biffy Clyro!
Tues 28th January 2003 £5 / £4 with this flyer @ Dublin Castle. Our first Club Fandango (Fierce Panda) hijack. This promises to be an evening of: "Beautiful, ethereal noise, combined with clattering soundscapes on a sonic ladder to heaven" REDJETSON are not unlike Joy Division all fucked up on post-rock druqx. Recently released a 3-track cd on their own label, Steinbeck Records, which includes the stunning 11-minute track 'Pieces Go Missing'. ONSTAGE AT 10.45PM redjetson.co.uk + FUCKING BEAUTIFUL are an anglo/Swiss collective based in London since Feb '02. The band combine the raw explosive energy of their music with a glamorous stageshow, which is part Las Vegas Cabaret, part B-movie science fiction with a dose of B-52s tongue-in-cheek pop madness. ONSTAGE AT 10.00PM fuckingbeautiful.ch + PLANS AND APOLOGIES are dynamic young things from Derby. Trips through noise and subtlety, like Aereogramme crashed into a nu-metal lamp-post and taken off to folk casualty. This will be only their second London gig thus far. ONSTAGE AT 9.15PM plansandapologies.com + THE EDIBLE FIVE FOOT SMITHS are a young, loud, musically literate and none generic band from Hull. Influences are too diverse to list but include the likes of Godspeed and Hawksley Workman - which may partly explain their Canadian obsession. They don't sound like an ordinary band because they are not at all ordinary. ONSTAGE AT 8.30 on mp3.com

Gonna be huger than huge this year! ONSTAGE AT 10:30 colouroffire.co.uk + SEACHANGE...Nottingham's noizy soundscape punks. ONSTAGE AT 9:45 seachangemusic.co.uk + WINK...french indie pop people ONSTAGE AT 9. winksongs.com
Thurs 30th Jan 2003 @ The Garage REUBEN...aldershots finest, doing all the same tricks their former housemates vex red and hundred reasons can pull but doing it with more honesty and making grunge bend into party music! currently all over xfm, colin murray r1 and Mtv2. + ENGERICA …we rave about this band a lot! You should know about 'em and their pumpkins-thru-punk-with-an-ironic-twist by now.
