Onetime singer of Gorky's Zygotic Mynci Euros Childs has been busy. More specifically he's been busy working with Teenage Fanclub's Norman Blake and the pair - known collectively as Jonny - have announced an EP for later in the year, as well as some tour dates (quite a lot, actually) for early next year, playing 16 places in total.
The EP is free and is suitably titled Free EP, which is a nice touch. It contains the following tracks and will come out on November 10, so just over a month to wait.
• Gloria
• Beach Party
• Continental
• Michael Angelo (by Twenty Third Turnoff)
And those tour dates? A little longer to wait, still. The Sheffield show is a Drowned in Sound presents show, by the way. Look below for more:
January: 19 - London, Water Rats
February: 3 - Brighton, Brighton Ballroom 4 - Cambridge, The Haymakers 5 - Reading, Play 7 - Bristol, Cooler 8 - Cardiff, Clwb Ifor Bach 10 - Nottingham, Bodega 11 - Liverpool, Mojo 12 - Sheffield, Harley - DiS Presents... 14 - Manchester, Deaf Institute 15 - Birmingham, Glee Club 16 - York, The Basement 18 - Middlesbrough, Westgarth SC 19 - Glasgow, Platform 20 - Newcastle, Cluny 21 - Sunderland, Independent Room 2
A debut record is due for release next year.
