Us and our mates at I Fly Spitfires have a host of rather spiffy events coming up in Edinburgh. Delicious!
I like Scotland. A lot. It's cheaper to drink in than London and there's a buzzing music scene around Glasgow and Edinburgh at the moment. Oh and some of the girls are pretty too. That's always nice.
Anyway, we announced a little while back that we've teamed up with the ineffably sexy kids at I Fly Spitfires to bring you gigs and clubs at the superb Cabaret Voltaire venue. If you don't know already,...Spitfires is pretty much the best nightclub and upcoming promoter in Edinburgh and we're super-proud to be involved.
Our first co-oped night is this Sunday, 16th April. Check out the line-up and details below!
Stapleton (pictured) - a perfect mix of catchy lo-fi pop and thoughtful heartfelt emotion Dartz! - Lamacq-endorsed, perfectly formed, quirky songs with bags of intelligence and energy. Capturing the essence of Dischord bands such as Faraquet and Q and Not U. Victorian English Gentlemen's Club - delightfully quirky art-rock from Wales. Bearsuit told me the other day that they love them. FACT V for Victory - wonky new-wave sub pop, laced with energy and delivered with endless aplomb. Ace.
