Drowned in Sound are proud to announce our sponsorship of Jens Lekman’s forthcoming May tour.
The indomitable Swedish crooner will return to the UK and Ireland this spring for a series of dates, full band in tow, dotted around his already confirmed appearances at both May ATPs.
Itinerary:
May 11 Camber Sands ATP vs Pitchfork 12 Nottingham Rescue Rooms 13 Newcastle the Cluny 14 Leeds Woodhouse Club 15 Glasgow Oran Mor 18 Minehead ATP vs Explosions in the Sky 19 Manchester Academy 3 20 London Scala 21 Birmingham Glee Club 23 Belfast The Black Box 24 Galway Roisin Dubh 25 Dublin the Village
Support on all dates comes from Jaymay, apart from the pair of ATP appearances and the London show, where Bon Iver feature on the bill.
Tickets for the shows are priced between £10 and £11, and are available from Gigantic.com now.
Jens, who was most recently in the country for a series of shows late last year, will also appear in a new film about the great Arthur Russell - watch the trailer for that here.
