'Death To The Pixies' is already available from all good record stores, but the label are keen to cash in on the band's reunion tour this year. The new compilation 'Wave of Mutilation: Best Of The Pixies' will be released on May 3rd, immediately following the band's debut show of 2004 at the Coachella Festival.
We believe this to be the tracklisting:
“01 Bone Machine 02 Nimrod's Son 03 The Holiday Song 04 Caribou 05 Broken Face 06 Gigantic [single version] 07 Vamos [Surfer Rosa version] 08 Hey 09 Monkey Gone To Heaven 10 Debaser [Doolittle version] 11 Gouge Away 12 Wave Of Mutilation 13 Here Comes Your Man 14 Tame 15 Where Is My Mind? 16 Into The White 17 Velouria 18 Allison 19 Dig For Fire 20 U-Mass 21 Alec Eiffel 22 Planet Of Sound 23 Winterlong [Neil Young Cover]”
A best of DVD will be released alongside the CD. Entitled simply 'Pixies' it will include all the band's videos, a 1988 live show filmed at London's Town and Country Club, and the BBC documentary Gouge.
DiScuss: Do you think all their vids are crap? What's your favourite song? Are they the most over-rated band in the history of music ever?
