Doesn't this look good? No? Oh get out of my house...
The sixth in the well-selling series of compilation albums based on the television show The OC is out on December 4. In a neat twist to previous emo-filled editions, this album sees a variety of actually-very-good acts covering songs by other very-decent bands. Jeepers.
Acts featured include Lady Sovereign (pictured), Pinback, Mates Of State and Band Of Horses; songs are penned by the likes of Black Flag, The Sex Pistols, Modest Mouse and The New Year. Tracklisting below (songwriters in brackets)...
Goldspot - 'Float On' (Modest Mouse) Rock Kills Kid - 'Turn My Camera On' (Spoon) Lady Sovereign - 'Pretty Vacant' (The Sex Pistols) Mates of State - 'California' (Phantom Planet) Pinback - 'Wasted' (Black Flag) John Paul White - 'Can't Get It Out Of My Head' (ELO) Rogue Wave - 'Debaser' (The Pixies) Syd Matters - 'Hello Sunshine' (Super Furry Animals) Tally Hall - 'Smile Like You Mean It' (The Killers) The M's - 'Come Into My Room' (Clinic) Band of Horses - 'End's Not Near' (The New Year) Chris Holmes - 'Into Dust' (Mazzy Star)
