Doug Fieger, singer in The Knack, has undergone surgery on his brain to remove a pair of tumours.
The 'My Sharona' writer - oh come on, you've danced to it - underwent the procedure in Los Angeles. His physician, Dr John Yu, said that Fieger is expected to recover fully.
The Knack were to tour the US this month; said tour has obviously been cancelled. 'My Sharona' was recently revealed as as one of the songs on US President George Bush's iPod.
