Free Kitten**, the ‘super-group’ featuring three queens of noise-rock, have reformed to release their first album in over ten years.
Kim Gordon and Julie Cafritz, of Sonic Youth and Pussy Galore** respectively, are re-joined by Boredoms, OOIOO and UFO or Die stalwart Yoshimi P-We for Inherit; the follow-up to 1997 full-length Sentimental Education.
The new record will arrive on the 20th of May through Thurston Moore’s Ecstatic Peace imprint – here’s what’s on it:
'_Erected Girl' 'Surf's Up' 'Sea Sick' 'Free Kitten On The Mountain'
'Roughshod' 'Help Me'
'The Poet'
'Billboard' 'Bananas' 'Monster Eye'
'Sway'_
Connoisseurs may note the absence of original bassist Mark Ibold, also of the ‘on hiatus’ Pavement. But Joe Mascis makes a surprise cameo.
