Salutations!
So after last week’s album releases list turned into a somewhat unwieldy 30+ records monster, we’re refining this feature to focus on our albums of the week. Sorry those who liked the old format, but it was getting A Bit Out Of Hand.

Los Campesinos! - Romance is Boring
Gareth and chums took over DiS last week, providing final, definitive proving once and for all that Los Campesinos! are really, really into football. However, you may be shocked to know they didn’t just do it for the craic: it was all a promotional stunt to shore up this, their fine, more mature third album.
Read review HERE.
Hot Chip - One Life Stand
After the mind-bogglingly silly Made In The Dark, it came as a something as a relief when Alexei and the gang made their fourth set this soulful, housey collection.
Midlake - The Courage of Others
Another portion of Uncut-friendly soft rock? No sir! This time out it’s bleak but MOJO-tastic psyche-folk from the mercurial beardies. Title track is particularly awesome.
Harvey Milk – Harvey Milk
The most put-upon men in sludge originally recorded this album whist sailing to America on the Mayflower. Events, sadly, stopped them releasing it for several centuries, but fortunately those nice folks at Hydrahead finally got around to releasing their somewhat derivative but still wholly impressive maiden voyage. You should check it out. Though not here.
The Soft Pack - The Soft Pack
Remember the Dream Syndicate? WELL THE SOFT PACK PROBABLY DO. In any case, A Hoot.
