Last week saw the announcement of the bands set to take to the DrownedinSound stage at this year’s Great Escape in Brighton. There was, however, one ‘TBC’-shaped omission from the fine clutch of acts gathered here and, in mid-May, backstage at Digital.
We can finally reveal that M.I.A.'s Brooklyn-bound protégé Santogold completes our bill – leaving it looking like this:
Thursday 15th May The Futureheads Fanfarlo Broken Records Eugene McGuinness
Friday 16th May Crystal Castles Cadence Weapon George Pringle Lovvers
Saturday 17th May These New Puritans Santogold Times New Viking Telepathe
Tickets for the Great Escape are available here at the lazy bird price of £45, though for some reason the price goes up if you want guaranteed entrance to see Fratellis. Dur dur dur, dur dur hurrrrrrr…
An interview with Santogold will run on DrownedinSound sometime next week.
