We know that Blood Red Shoes are one of our favourite British acts of the moment, both live and on record. The last time I saw them, however, well...I didn't see them, due to the stage seemingly being lowered...regardless, it was one of my favourite shows of EVER. So there. They are a powerful duo indeed.

They've a new video for Heartsink, which you can watch below in all its glory. Well, all the glory of an embedded YouTube video, anyway.

Here's where Steven explains to us about the track:

“"We took the energy and simplicity of that four to the floor beat and layered it with a guitar sound as aggressive and industrial as possible. We never want to make anything too easy to get into, it'd be boring. It's a pop song that we tried to destroy from the inside out basically"”

'Heartsink' comes out as a single on August 16, taken from their current LP, Fire Like This. You should have one if you don't have the other. The band also, I remind you, play the DiS outdoor stage at Tramlines on July 24, as well as a few other upcoming dates, all listed below!

24 July - Sheffield, Tramlines Festival // DiS Outdoor Stage 25 July- Oxfordshire, Truck Festival 27 August - Reading, Festival Republic Stage 29 August - Leeds, Festival Republic Stage 6 October - Manchester, Club Academy 7 October - London, Electric Ballroom
