Having kicked off celebrations in suitably overzealous fashion with Comanechi in Brighton last Friday, tomorrow (August 7) night sees White Heat mark its fourth birthday with a few of its finest affiliates - The Low Miffs, One More Grain and Eel Pie’s absurdist-collective Mystery Jets.
The club night, which takes place at former strip-joint Madame JoJo's, has cemented itself as a hotbed for an intoxicating array of new acts. The fact they so effortlessly put on a Trencher-curated show a fortnight ago with some of the finest grindcore going is tribute to their trade.
In other White Heat news, the BBC recorded Liars' (pictured) set at White Heat a few weeks back, previewing material from their forthcoming record. Click HERE to listen.
Future White Heat dates also include:
August 7 - Darren Hayman (ex-Hefner) + My Sad Captains + Strange Idols. 14 - Black Wire + Hatcham Social + Electricity In Our Homes (curated by Farris Rotter) 21 - Black Lips + zZz + Cuckoos Nest
September 11 - Future of the Left + Victorian English Gentlemans Club + Untitled Musical Project
